Reviews Agility
Voice says He has a good explanation of his methods and demonstrates them well. There is even a small amount of humour creeping in at some stages! All
in all the video is very good and has given me a lot to think about. A
recommended buy in my books. Insightful,
clear, logical, systematic, easy to follow, superbly demonstrated. Greg
has created a training programme for young dogs that is well thought out,
that has a good, consistent underlying methodology and that he has proved
to work in practice and in competition. Individual techniques are presented
as a logical series of steps with clear criteria for mastery so you know
when to move on to the next step and when to stay put. The systematic
approach is easy to follow and easy to remember when youre putting it
into practice. Greg demonstrates every step clearly and does an inspirational
demonstration of directional control with Fern. Watching this video wont
magically remove those little frustrations of foundation training, but
following the step-based programme will help you build a sense of accomplishment
and keep you motivated through the process. You
have given away so many secrets and it is very professionally presented.
An excellent video and the outtakes are a bonus.
I'm
finding the Agility Foundation Training Video by Greg Derrett really useful
as I've just bought my second agility dog - she's only 14 weeks old so
I'll be able to start training with a "clean slate" . I've made
many mistakes with my first dog (who is now 3.5 years old) but I'm already
managing to put some of them right using Greg's training methods. Got
your tape, thank you thank you thank you. You have addressed things that
have not be address over here (USA) The flat work will help me in my quest
for success as I have a BC that rewards herself on the equipment, and
at shows only has no stay at the start line. I look forward to your next
tape. I
received your video. It is terrific. Wish I had it when I first got my
dog. I
have not watched all of the video yet, but what I have seen has been great.
Most videos concentrate on teaching the dogs individual obstacles -- which
is not what I am looking for with my dog that is in masters. We're looking
more for motivational and speed tips, things that your video contains.
Thank you! It's about time someone did a video for people who have been
doing agility for awhile and are not just beginners. I
must say, it is "very" well done! Very professional. And very
good basic training information. Everything is there for a great start
with your agility teammate. I really like Greg's emphasis on relationship
with the dog, which he so well illustrates with his own dogs. We
got your video and think it the best agility video ever made!!!! Thank
you for making it. I
recently purchased your Foundations video and found it a wonderful source
of ideas for me and my 4 y/o PWD. We've been training for about a year
and I know (especially after watching the video) that we have a lot of
work to do. Thanks again for producing a great video for us novices. Enjoyed
the video and LOVED the outtakes!!
Got
the video - and I love it! - especially the trumpet.......thanks! I
watched your video; good work! It covered exactly the things I have been
having the most trouble with...fast start with a stand wait. I also loved
your method of teaching directionals. Both my dogs have lots of toy drive
so that's perfect, better than other methods that have been suggested
to me. The last bit was very entertaining, good idea with the funny clips...but
now I miss England(damn quarantine). Far
exceeded my expectations. Thank-you! So
far I watched the directionals and the wait. I love it! Thanks for
your reviews. |
