Enjoyed having 2 different presenters. Teaching (and patience) was brilliant.
Loved breaking everything down during box work. Thank you for an outstanding learning experience better than I would have hoped!
Fantastic Thoroughly enjoyed it. learned something from all sessions. It was excellent and definitely the best seminar I have been to.
Your knowledge (both Laura & Greg) of Agility is great - always had an answer and very willing to give each person/dog plenty of your time and did not put anyone down
Brilliant Attention to details, breaking down the sequences until we get them exactly right
Both Laura & Greg provided great feedback when you made an error and all comments were positive. They used constructive criticism that I was able to take away & learn from in my next run.
Made me realise what I did not know and how to improve
Great balance of theory & practical Best by far, seminar I have attended Loved it - would do it again in a heartbeat
San Diego (November 2008)
Having attended many Greg & Laura Derrett seminars, I have to say I think this was by far the BEST yet! Every time I work with Greg & Laura I understand and appreciate their handling system even more. The Power Point lecture on Saturday night was terrific as well! Greg & Laura spent as much time as was needed on each dog, regardless of breed or level. As a handler who runs non Border Collies, I appreciate that very much.
Thank you Stacy for all the tremendous effort you put in to make this seminar AWESOME in every way!
Wanted to say Saturday was AWESOME and I loved Greg’s session Saturday night.
Working with Laura yesterday was the best seminar I've ever been too. So many times the seminar giver seems to spend more time with certain people or certain breeds. Laura was fabulous and was so fair and equal with everyone.
Just wanted to thank you so much for the opportunity of helping and auditing Gregg's seminar. It was fabulous!!! Bravo, you did a great job.
I felt lucky to see such talented dogs and handlers manoeuvre through the courses under the fantastic instruction of Greg.
CONGRATULATIONS on your event! It was fantastic! Greg and Laura are really nice and I learnt so much! I also made lots of new friends. Thanks for all your hard work in organizing a very informative and fun seminar. Can't wait for my next lesson.
Thanks for an amazing seminar. Really learned a lot and enjoyed working with Laura. You really are something, to bring in these world class trainers; we are lucky to have the opportunity to train with them and as always, to have you in our hood to train us year-around. Now, just about everything we heard were things you’ve taught us, just good to hear it differently or in a new way and perhaps a few new exercises to drill. Thanks, I am sure it was a lot of work, but seemed flawless. The property was amazing and perfectly suited to the logistics
'If you want to understand Greg Derrett's Handling system fully - DVD 3 and DVD 4 will provide you with the understanding to take on this handling system immediately with your dog. In DVD 3 Great Dog, Great Handler - The Winning Combination - Chapter 4 is the most comprehensive explanation of the use of Positional Cue for creating a dog that drives lines and understands where their handler is going at all times. Understand yourself through explanation, visual diagram and then actual footage the importance of your position on course at anyone time to get the dog driving their lines for the shortest path for YOU and the dog.
DVD 4 - On Course to Excel - takes the mystery out of what path you should take for the win! The chapter on decision making is equally as imporant as the chapter on positional cue from the above DVD! Again through explanation, visual diagrams and actual footage the chapter helps clarify how this system creates the understanding for dogs and handlers to compete at the top of the game in Canada, US and Europe.
As a student of Greg's Handling system for 10 years now - I have taken my Golden Retriever - Spirit - to the top of the agility game - a great feat amongst some of the fastest Border Collies/Kelpies in North America!'
